Making Sense of "Like"
Patricia T. O'Conner writes in today's New York Times column about the bane of so many sticklers' existence -- the word "like" -- and makes a lot of sense.

I like like. I think that it comes down more to breadth of usage and ... understandability(?)
I found myself using it about a year and a half ago, considered its merits and decided to keep it. It's fun and useful! :)
