But you're still going to read your blog comments, right? ;-P
I treat email the same way I treat snail mail or even non-business-related phone calls: if it is unsolicited then I reserve the right to ignore it. I use these communication tools for my convenience, not for the convenience of those who need (or think they need) to contact me. So I don't need to declare email backruptcy, since I already have the right to ignore it.
On a sort-of related note: when did email lose the hyphen (e-mail?)
My prob is I get tons of wonderfully eloquent email from listeners and it's maddening not to be able to respond to it all.
Re email, which used to be e-mail, which used to be E-mail, it's been heading in that direction for some time now and seems to reflect a tendency to mush such things together (health-care becoming healthcare, for example). Personally, I like the simplified version. How about you?
Heh. I suppose I didn't consider that a celeb like you might have email that a mere plebian such as I wouldn't have to deal with. I appreciate your dilemma.
And yes, I suppose a de-hyphenation trend is a good thing (should "de-hyphenate" contain a hyphen? How awkward!)
Because of your automatic switching, my comment on this topic is on the slang blog. I must be more careful about watching address lines. But to summarise, if you are overwhelmed by e-mail, why do you advertise for more on every show ?
Because Grant and I read it all and take it all into consideration. It all informs the show. But it's very, very difficult to answer every email personally -- and that's very frustrating!

Absolutely, Mark!

Who needs spam filters when you've got interns? :)
