Biting the Apple at Last

I feel like I need some kind of ceremony to mark this rite of passage. So, macarize me, already!

Yay! I just bought a new Mac yesterday. It's not my first, it's my eighth in 18 years. Did you get the Macbook? If so, you can always install Windows XP on it later if OS X doesn't suit you.
The 8th in 18 years? Wow. Mazel tov!
Yep, I've finally come over to The Light Side, and ordered a MacBook. Didn't realize XP would work on it --thanks!
I'm not looking fwd to lugging around the extra 2.5 in poundage, but all the glassy-eyed Macolytes I know assure me that I'll be so deliriously happy I won't even dream of going back.
Speaking of, has everybody already seen THIS?
martha its about time!!
Once you go Mac you never go back. Glad to hear you finally bit the apple. Crunch!
After doing my home computing solely on Dell PC's -- well-made for WIndows machines, but susceptible to viri, etc. & various unexplained crashes -- I got my first Mac in January (an iMac G5 with a 20-inch screen). The idea of learning a new system was not appealing, but after the first step it's been a piece of cake. And it's delightful how many fine points the Apple developers thought of that were absent in my PC's. Nu, so my iMac's not portable. But that screen's a gem & I'm a convert.
As for trackpads, they turn out to be way easier to use imo than a trackball or (eek!) a mouse.(Trackpads have many things that can be adjusted to your favorite setting.)
So, did you toss the penny mentioned in your last blog for Mac vs. PC?
